Insurance should make life less confusing, not more.

I'm David Huff, a licensed health insurance broker based in Lakeland, Florida. I help people compare health coverage when the choices feel overwhelming: turning 65, losing employer coverage, shopping ACA Marketplace plans, checking doctor networks, or trying to understand whether a supplemental plan is worth it.

My approach is simple: I explain the tradeoffs directly, check the details that actually matter, and help you choose coverage that fits your doctors, prescriptions, budget, and timing. If a plan is not a good fit, I will tell you. If you need to slow down and compare, we slow down and compare.

My work is built around preparation, honesty, and attention to detail. As a parent, I also know health coverage is not theoretical. It matters when someone gets hurt, a prescription changes, or a bill shows up at the wrong time.

Insurance carriers generally compensate appointed brokers when an enrollment is completed. David does not charge a separate fee for the plan-review assistance described here. Compensation and availability can differ by carrier and product.
David is not a carrier, call center, or lead seller. You work with a licensed Florida broker who reviews plan details directly and uses your information only to help with coverage review, enrollment support, and follow-up.

What I Help With

📋

Medicare Plan Reviews

Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D comparisons with attention to doctors, prescriptions, pharmacies, networks, and total yearly cost.

🔍

ACA Marketplace Coverage

Help comparing Marketplace plans, estimating subsidies, checking provider networks, and understanding enrollment windows or qualifying life events.

🛡

Supplemental Protection

Dental, vision, life insurance, short-term medical, and fixed-indemnity options when extra coverage may fit your situation. Fixed-indemnity coverage is not comprehensive health insurance and does not satisfy ACA minimum essential coverage requirements.

📞

Real Follow-Up

You work with David directly from the initial comparison through enrollment and ongoing plan questions.

Direct, practical, and built around your real life.

We start with your details

Your doctors, prescriptions, household income, preferred hospitals, budget, and timeline matter more than a flashy premium. I use those details to narrow the options.

I explain the tradeoffs

Every plan has tradeoffs. I help you understand networks, deductibles, copays, drug tiers, out-of-pocket exposure, referrals, and what those details mean day to day.

Start with the coverage details

Share who needs coverage, which doctors and prescriptions must be checked, what changed, and when coverage is needed.

I stay practical

A lower premium or longer brochure does not automatically make coverage the better fit. The right review starts with your care, your risk, and your budget.

Local insight matters

Lakeland and Polk County networks can be confusing. I pay attention to local systems like Watson Clinic, Lakeland Regional Health, BayCare, Orlando Health, and nearby provider access.

I help beyond one page

Coverage questions do not always end after enrollment. When you need help understanding a card, comparing renewal options, or preparing for a plan change, you can reach out.

Health insurance help for people who want a human guide.

Most clients come to me because they are tired of guessing. They want someone who can compare options, translate the fine print, and keep the conversation grounded.

Individual and Family Coverage

ACA Marketplace plans, private options, short-term coverage, dental, vision, and life insurance for families trying to protect both health and budget.

Medicare Beneficiaries

Plan reviews for people turning 65, retiring, moving, losing employer coverage, or comparing Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and Part D options.

Self-Employed Workers

Coverage guidance for freelancers, contractors, business owners, and people whose income or tax situation makes subsidies and plan selection more complicated.
